Roomhints interviewed Erin Wheeler of Sunny Circle Studio to discuss what inspires her— clean lines, the beach and the mid-century modern style of the 1950s and 60s.
Erin: “I’m in love with all things home and enjoy sharing my passion for design through social media and blogging. My style is a mix of happy, traditional, mid-century modern, Scandinavian, vintage, eclectic and coastal. I live in a mid-90s home on a happy little cul-de-sac in Raleigh, NC with my husband, two kids and our dog.”
“I love the shapes, colors and clean lines of the 1950s style (home decor and fashion).”
Erin: “I’ve always been into design in many different forms, but I’ve recently discovered interiors to be my all-time favorite.”
Erin: “Probably the many times when I would dream up ways to redecorate the rooms in my home over and over again.”
Erin: “A kid’s room!’
Erin: “I’m a sucker for a rug every time. It can really make and change the look and feel of a space instantly. Also, art is everything to me.”
Erin: “Nothing too matchy-matchy! In addition, I love the look and feel of a collected eclectic space.”
Erin: “No space is ever really finished.”
Erin: “When working with others, asking lots and lots of questions. For myself, trial and error.”
Erin: “Adding life (plants), an amazing rug and texture. Also, art is a big one!”
Erin: “Monique Lhuillier and Charlotte Lucas.”
Erin: “I love the shapes, colors and clean lines of the 1950s style (home decor and fashion).”
