1. Briefly tell us a bit about you:
Anne: "I have been blogging since 2008, with my signature smart yet stylish approach to fashion, interiors, entertaining and more. I love to write about and share my vintage finds. I am a graduate of Stanford University, worked as a consumer strategist in Manhattan prior to becoming a full-time content creator. In 2015 I released my first book, an interiors-meets-personal-growth volume entitled Sage Living; and in 2016 I co-founded Light Lab, a creative studio and event space in Los Angeles. I am most likely to be found wrangling my four pets or rearranging the furniture in my East LA home."
"I'm such a sucker for a great chair, especially in iconic design shapes, and great lamps can make or break a space too!"
2. Tell us about a time that confirmed why you love being an interior designer?
Anne: "My love for being an interior designer is confirmed every time I get lost in a project on my computer for hours, and look up from my computer to realize that the sun has gone down and I'm sitting in a dark house!"
3. Why did you start a career in interior design?
Anne: "I grew up decorating our house with my mom and it feels like design is in my blood! As a result, I can't walk into a room and NOT think about how I'd change the design :-D"
4. Your favorite space to design?
Anne: "Definitely a modern living room!"
5. Your favorite hints (products) that get you excited?

7. Without fail design hint that you have learned over your career?
Anne: "Triple check every measurement and every order before you confirm it. There's nothing worse than waiting for a piece to arrive only to discover you made an error!"
8. How would you define the creative process?
Anne: "The creative process is like baking a cake: To some extent, there's a template, a recipe, for each project. But then when you put all the components together and bake them in the oven, it's like magic to see the final result!"

"The most important thing to keep in mind is that patience is KEY: A great design doesn't come together overnight!"
10. Who are your favorite designers?
Anne: "I love the guys at Consort Design, they can do no wrong! I'm also super into Australian design lately, there's a firm called "We Are Huntly" that I adore."
11. Where do you draw inspiration from?
Anne: "My biggest inspiration is travel: I love to get inspired by how other people live, by the colors and textures and smells and sounds of other places!"
