For example, a mirror that reflects the front door can actually send the energy that is brought in from the front door back out. This is never good in Feng Shui as you want to direct that new energy coming in through the front door around your space.
The Right & Wrong Way to use Feng Shui Mirrors
Feng Shui Mirror Hints the “Right Way”
1. Use full mirrors
In a full mirror, you can see yourself in one piece. You can see your full self in the full mirror. Tiny or tiled mirrors or fragments will cause you to feel “broken up” into pieces over time or not allow you to see your full self. For example, in a bathroom, try to avoid using the popular three-panel mirrors with a fixed mirror in the middle and cabinets at either end.2. Hang mirrors to bring in views of nature
Your mirror can reflect the outdoors in, amplifying the view to be seen from all angles and activating Mother Nature’s healthy Chi energy indoors.3. Use mirrors where they’ll add light and movement to your space.
A large mirror in a long dark hallway, for instance, will draw Chi energy down the hall, helping it circulate throughout your home.4. Hang a mirror near your foyer or entryway
To activate the Water element there and give you a positive glimpse of yourself on your way out the door. Helping to boost your confidence as you exit.5. Place a mirror above your dining table
This will help to double the abundance of food and helpful people in your life.Feng Shui Mirror Hints the "Wrong Way" to use Mirrors
1. No mirrors in your bedroom!
Mirrors as we have learned move energy and reflect energy. Your bedroom is a place for rest, it is best to avoid using mirrors that will increase the movement of energy into your bedroom. Read more about Mirrors in a Feng Shui Bedroom.
2. No mirror within 5 feet of entering your home
I mentioned this in the first paragraph but this is really important because the Chi energy will be directed out your door.3. No mirror panels, or with distorted or antiqued surfaces
This for me is the hardest one. I absolutely love those old French antique dark glass and broken glass mirrors but they distort ones look and should be avoided.
